Normally, this Webpage would show you the familiar names of the committee of our Church,
however, just for a change we thought it would be interesting to show you something different.
Liverpool Spiritualist Church is affiliated to the Spiritualists' National Union and because of this
affiliation we agree to abide by the philosophy of the Union in accordance with the 7 Principles.
We are also obliged to abide by the SNU rules and regulations as laid out in the church rule book.
Below is a table that shows the current structure of the Union, this being a three tier system ......

1st Tier) THE NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL which comprises of ......
The President ... David Bruton (elected)
Vice-President - Administrative ... Minister Dinah Annable (elected)
Vice-President - Spiritual ... Minister Judith Seaman (elected)
Financial Director ... Miss Julia Almond (appointed)
The Financial Director is appointed by the President and Vice-Presidents.
These four positions are collectively referred to as 'The 4 Officers of the Union'.
The 4 Officers are followed by - 3 x Chairmen of Standing Committees ......
1) The Accreditation Committee, Chairperson - Minister Kathryn Grundy (appointed).
This committee is responsible for receiving minutes and reports from the
Education Committee, the Training & Awards Committee,
the Healing Committee and the Registrations Office.
2) The Collegiate Committee, Chairperson - Mr Andrew Hadley (appointed).
This committee is responsible for receiving minutes and reports from the Arthur
Findlay College Committee and the Arthur Findlay Centre Committee.
3) Communications Committee, Chairperson - Mr Chris James (appointed).
This committee is responsible for receiving minutes and reports from the
Public Relations Committee, the Publicity & Promotions Committee,
the Information Technology Committee and SNU International.
The 3 x Chairmen of Standing Committees are appointed by the 4 Officers of the Union.
The final positions on the NEC are ......
1 x National Council Representative to the NEC - Minister Myrrha Hibbert (elected).
3 x Ordinary Representatives (Ordinary Members) - Mr M. Colclough, Minister S. Upton and Minister T. Penketh.
The Ordinary Members are appointed by the NEC.
Not more than 3 Ordinary Members can be appointed onto the NEC at any one time.
The members of the NEC are in effect the ‘Board of Directors’ of the SNU , meeting 7 times a year.

The Council is an advisory body to the NEC, meeting twice a year for this purpose.

All of the 'local' affairs of the Union are delegated to the fourteen administrative branches known as District Councils.
Our geographical location places Liverpool Spiritualist Church within the Merseyside & North Wales District Council.
